※ Samuel Johnson(Dr Johnson, 1709~1784, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samuel_Johnson ) ; an English writer who made lasting contributions as a poet, playwright, essayist, moralist, literary critic, sermonist, biographer, editor, and lexicographer.

The Oxford Dictionary of National Biography calls him "arguably the most distinguished man of letters in English history".

Near the end of his life, he authored the voluminous and highly influential Lives of the Most Eminent English Poets, a series of biographies and critical appraisals of 52 poets of the 17th and 18th centuries.

Johnson's Dictionary had far-reaching effects on Modern English, and was pre-eminent until the arrival of the Oxford English Dictionary 150 years later.

What did people truly want to say to the world?

I want to convey the true heart of the person published here.

With this mindset, I hope to properly express Samuel Johnson's heart.

1. Hope is necessary in every condition.

2. It is necessary to hope... for hope itself is happiness.

3. Self-confidence is the first requisite to great undertakings.

4. What is written without effort is in general read without pleasure.

5. What we hope ever to do with ease, we must first learn to do with diligence.

6. Allow children to be happy in their own way, for what better way will they find?

7. Curiosity is one of the permanent and certain characteristics of a vigorous intellect.

8. Gratitude is a fruit of great cultivation ; you do not find it among gross people.

9. Few things are impossible to diligence and skill.

Great works are performed not by strength, but perseverance.

10. The habit of looking on the bright side of every event is worth more than a thousand pounds a year.

※ Edwin Powell Hubble (1889~1953, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edwin_Hubble ) ; an American astronomer.

He played a crucial role in establishing the fields of extragalactic astronomy and observational cosmology.

Hubble proved that many objects previously thought to be clouds of dust and gas and classified as "nebulae" were actually galaxies beyond the Milky Way.

He used the strong direct relationship between a classical Cepheid variable's luminosity and pulsation period for scaling galactic and extragalactic distances.

Hubble confirmed in 1929 that the recessional velocity of a galaxy increases with its distance from Earth, a behavior that became known as Hubble's law, although it had been proposed two years earlier by Georges Lemaître. The Hubble law implies that the universe is expanding.

Hubble's name is most widely recognized for the Hubble Space Telescope

What did people truly want to say to the world?

I want to convey the true heart of the person published here.

With this mindset, I hope to properly express Edwin Hubble's heart.

1. Observations always involve theory.

2. Past time is finite, future time is infinite.

3. The history of astronomy is a history of receding horizons.

4. Every action of our lives touches on some chord that will vibrate in eternity.

5. Wisdom cannot be directly transmitted, and does not readily accumulate through the ages.

6. Equipped with his five senses, man explores the universe around him and calls the adventure science.

7. Science is the one human activity that is truly progressive.

The body of positive knowledge is transmitted from generation to generation.

8. It was not that the galaxies were expanding to fill empty space as that space itself was stretching outwards, uniformly, in all directions.

9. No one, should go into astronomy without genuine call, and the only way to test a call is by having another calling to be called away from.

10. We find them smaller and fainter, in constantly increasing numbers, and we know that we are reaching into space, farther and farther, until, with the faintest nebulae that can be detected with the greatest telescopes, we arrive at the frontier of the known universe.

11. Positive, objective knowledge is public property.

It can be transmitted directly from one person to another, it can be pooled, and it can be passed on from one generation to the next.

Consequently, knowledge accumulates through the ages, each generation adding its contribution.

12. The scientist explores the world of phenomena by successive approximations.

He knows that his data are not precise and that his theories must always be tested.

It is quite natural that he tends to develop healthy skepticism, suspended judgment, and disciplined imagination.
