※ Moses ben Maimon (MaimonidesRambam, 1138~1204, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maimonides ) ; Sephardic Jewish rabbi who is widely acknowledged as one of the most prolific and influential Torah scholars of the Middle Ages.

Most contemporary Jews as far as Iraq and Yemen greeted Maimonides' writings on halakha and Jewish ethics with acclaim and gratitude.

To date, Maimonides is recognized as one of the foremost rabbinic decisors and his copious work comprises a cornerstone of Jewish scholarship.

His fourteen-volume Mishneh Torah still carries significant canonical authority in Judaism as a codification of halakha,[9] as do his thirteen principles of faith.

Aside from being revered by Jewish historians, Maimonides features very prominently in the history of Islamic science

Influenced by Aristotle( https://cw2588.blogspot.com/2022/11/aristotelesaristotle-sayings-quotes.html )al-Farabiibn Sina, and his contemporary ibn Rushd, his work as a polymath contributed to the Islamic Golden Age and was regarded highly in many parts of the Muslim world.

What did people truly want to say to the world?
I want to convey the true heart of the person published here.
With this mindset, I hope to properly express Rambam's heart.

1. Silence is the maturation of wisdom.

2. In finances, be strict with yourself, generous with others.

3. Lose with truth and right rather than gain with falsehood and wrong.

4. In the realm of Nature there is nothing purposeless, trivial, or unnecessary.

5. Let nothing which can be treated by diet be treated by other means.

6. No disease that can be treated by diet should be treated with any other means.

7. The physician should not treat the disease, but the patient who is suffering from it.

8. Man's obsession to add to his wealth and honor is the chief source of his misery.

9. A small amount of wine such as three or four glasses is of benefit for the preservation of the health of human beings and an excellent remedy for most illnesses.

10. Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.

11. All the evils that men cause to each other because of certain desires, or opinions or religious principles, are rooted in ignorance.

12. Truth does not become more true by virtue of the fact that the entire world agrees with it, nor less so even if the whole world disagrees with it.

13. Do not consider it proof just because it is written in books, for a liar who will deceive with his tongue will not hesitate to do the same with his pen.

14. It should not be believed that all beings exist for the sake of the existence of man.

On the contrary, all the other beings too have been intended for their own sakes and not for the sake of anything else.

15. We each decide whether to make ourselves learned or ignorant, compassionate or cruel, generous or miserly.

No one forces us.

No one decides for us, no one drags us along one path or the other.

We are responsible for what we are.

16. Every man should view himself as equally balanced: half good and half evil.

Likewise, he should see the entire world as half good and half evil....

With a single good deed he will tip the scales for himself, and for the entire world, to the side of good.

17. There is no difference between the pain of humans and the pain of other living beings, since the love and tenderness of the mother for the young are not produced by reasoning, but by feeling, and this faculty exists not only in humans but in most living beings.

What did people truly want to say to the world?

I want to convey the true heart of the person published here.

With this mindset, I hope to properly express Maira Kalman's heart.

1. Go out and walk.

That is the glory of life.

2. My short attention span has allowed me a life of diversity in work and place.

3. What protects you in this world from sadness and from the loss of an ability to do something? ... Work and love.

4. A visit to a museum is a search for beauty, truth, and meaning in our lives.

Go to museums as often as you can.

5. The pieces I chose were based on one thing only – a gasp of delight.

Isn’t that the only way to curate a life?

6. The most inspiring objects are books.

I have about 5,000 volumes in my home library.

It’s an unending source of visuals and ideas.

7. I like Thomas Jefferson, though he intimidated me.

I thought he would have been very tough to be around.

I don’t know if he had such a sense of humor.

8. Just a nice stroll through the hill and dale.

But now I walk everywhere in the city. Any city.

You see everything you need to see in a lifetime. Every emotion. Every condition. Every fashion. Every glory.

9. Everyone looks so exalted, or so wretched, or so spiffy, so funny, so splendid.

If you are ever bored or blue, stand on the street corner for half an hour.

10. I read obituaries first thing in the morning. With a cup of coffee.

This is NOT MORBID. Just epic.

Maybe it’s a way of trying to figure out, before the day begins, what is important.

And I am curious about all the little things that make up life. Little?
