※ Moses ben Maimon (Maimonides, Rambam, 1138~1204, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maimonides ) ; a Sephardic Jewish rabbi who is widely acknowledged as one of the most prolific and influential Torah scholars of the Middle Ages.
Most contemporary Jews as far as Iraq and Yemen greeted Maimonides' writings on halakha and Jewish ethics with acclaim and gratitude.
To date, Maimonides is recognized as one of the foremost rabbinic decisors and his copious work comprises a cornerstone of Jewish scholarship.
His fourteen-volume Mishneh Torah still carries significant canonical authority in Judaism as a codification of halakha,[9] as do his thirteen principles of faith.
Aside from being revered by Jewish historians, Maimonides features very prominently in the history of Islamic science.

What did people truly want to say to the world?
I want to convey the true heart of the person published here.
With this mindset, I hope to properly express Rambam's heart.
1. Silence is the maturation of wisdom.
침묵은 지혜의 성숙이다.
2. In finances, be strict with yourself, generous with others.
돈 문제는 자신에게는 엄격하고 다른 사람에게는 관대하라.
3. Lose with truth and right rather than gain with falsehood and wrong.
거짓과 불의로 얻기보다 진리와 의(義)를 지키며 잃어라.
4. In the realm of Nature there is nothing purposeless, trivial, or unnecessary.
자연계에는 목적이 없거나 사소하거나 불필요한 것이라곤 없다.
5. Let nothing which can be treated by diet be treated by other means.
음식으로 치유할 수 있는 것은 다른 방법으로 치료하지 마라.
6. No disease that can be treated by diet should be treated with any other means.
식이 요법으로 치유할 수 있는 질병은 다른 방법으로 치료해서는 안 된다.
7. The physician should not treat the disease, but the patient who is suffering from it.
의사는 질병을 치료하는 것이 아니라, 질병을 앓고 있는 환자를 치료해야 한다.
8. Man's obsession to add to his wealth and honor is the chief source of his misery.
자신의 부와 명예를 더하려는 집착이 불행의 주요 원인이다.
9. A small amount of wine such as three or four glasses is of benefit for the preservation of the health of human beings and an excellent remedy for most illnesses.
소량의 와인은 건강을 유지하는 데 도움이 되며, 대부분의 질병에 탁월한 치료제이다.
10. Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.
어떤 사람에게 물고기 한 마리를 주면, 그를 하루 동안 먹게 할 수 있다.
그에게 물고기 잡는 법을 가르치면, 평생 그를 먹여 살릴 수도 있다.
11. All the evils that men cause to each other because of certain desires, or opinions or religious principles, are rooted in ignorance.
어떤 욕망이나 의견이나 종교적 원칙 때문에 사람들이 서로에게 초래하는 모든 해악은 무지에 뿌리를 두고 있다.
12. Truth does not become more true by virtue of the fact that the entire world agrees with it, nor less so even if the whole world disagrees with it.
진리는 온 세상이 동의한다고 해서 더 참이 되는 것도 아니고, 온 세상이 동의하지 않는다고 해서 더 참이 되는 것도 아니다.
13. Do not consider it proof just because it is written in books, for a liar who will deceive with his tongue will not hesitate to do the same with his pen.
책에 쓰여 있다고 해서 그것을 증거로 여기지 마라.
혀로 속일 수 있는 거짓말쟁이는 주저하지 않고 펜으로도 똑같이 속일 수 있기 때문이다.
14. It should not be believed that all beings exist for the sake of the existence of man.
On the contrary, all the other beings too have been intended for their own sakes and not for the sake of anything else.
모든 존재가 인간의 존재를 위해 존재한다고 믿어서는 안 된다.
다른 모든 존재들도 다른 어떤 것을 위해서가 아니라 그들 자신을 위해 자연계와 하나님으로부터 의도(意圖)된 존재이다.
15. We each decide whether to make ourselves learned or ignorant, compassionate or cruel, generous or miserly.
No one forces us.
No one decides for us, no one drags us along one path or the other.
We are responsible for what we are.
우리는 유식한 사람이 될 것인지 무식한 사람이 될 것인지, 자비로운 사람이 될 것인지 잔인한 사람이 될 것인지, 인심이 후한 사람이 될 것인지 인색한 사람이 될 것인지를 각자 스스로가 결정한다.
아무도 우리에게 강요하지 않는다.
아무도 우리를 위해 결정해주지 않으며, 아무도 우리를 이 길 또는 저 길로 끌고 가지 않는다.
우리 각자는 자신의 존재에 대해 책임이 있다.
16. Every man should view himself as equally balanced: half good and half evil.
Likewise, he should see the entire world as half good and half evil....
With a single good deed he will tip the scales for himself, and for the entire world, to the side of good.
모든 사람은 자신을 반은 선이고 반은 악인 균형 잡힌 존재로 여겨야 한다.
마찬가지로 그는 온 세상을 반은 선으로, 반은 악으로 보아야 한다.
단 한 번의 선행으로 그는 자신과 전 세계의 저울을 선으로 기울게 할 수도 있다.
17. There is no difference between the pain of humans and the pain of other living beings, since the love and tenderness of the mother for the young are not produced by reasoning, but by feeling, and this faculty exists not only in humans but in most living beings.
자식에 대한 어머니의 사랑과 부드러움은 추론에 의해서가 아니라 감정에 의해서 생성되며, 이러한 능력은 인간뿐만 아니라 대부분의 생명체에 존재하기 때문에 인간의 고통과 다른 생명체의 고통 사이에는 차이가 없다.
