※ Hannah Arendt (Johanna Arendt, 1906~1975, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hannah_Arendt ) ; a German and American historian and philosopher.

Her works cover a broad range of topics, but she is best known for those dealing with the nature of wealth, power, fame, and evil, as well as politics, direct democracy, authority, tradition, and totalitarianism.

Her name appears in the names of journals, schools, scholarly prizes, humanitarian prizes, think-tanks, and streets; appears on stamps and monuments; and is attached to other cultural and institutional markers that commemorate her thought.

After completing secondary education in Berlin, Arendt studied at the University of Marburg under Martin Heidegger( https://cw2588.blogspot.com/2024/01/martin-heidegger-sayings-quotes.html ), with whom she engaged in a romantic affair that began while she was his student.

She obtained her doctorate in philosophy at the University of Heidelberg in 1929. Her dissertation was entitled Love and Saint Augustine, and her supervisor was the existentialist philosopher Karl Jaspers( https://cw2588.blogspot.com/2023/12/karl-jaspers-sayings-quotes-meaning-of.html ).

She became a writer and editor and worked for the Jewish Cultural Reconstruction, becoming an American citizen in 1950.

These included the books The Human Condition in 1958, as well as Eichmann in Jerusalem and On Revolution in 1963.

What did people truly want to say to the world?

I want to convey the true heart of the person published here.

With this mindset, I hope to properly express Hannah Arendt's heart.

1. Solitude is the human condition in which I keep myself company.
고독은 우리들 인간의 조건이다.

2. Violence can destroy power ; it is utterly incapable of creating it.
폭력은 권력을 파괴할 수는 있지만, 권력을 창조할 수는 없다.

3. Equality... is the result of human organization.
We are not born equal.
평등은 인간 조직의 결과이다.

4. The greatest enemy of authority, is contempt, and the surest way to undermine it is laughter.
