Hafez is best known for his Divān, a collection of his surviving poems probably compiled after his death (그는 그의 사후에 편찬된 그의 생존 시집인 Divān으로 가장 잘 알려져 있다).
Hafez primarily wrote in the literary genre of lyric poetry or ghazals, which is the ideal style for expressing the ecstasy of divine inspiration in the mystical form of love poems (그는 주로 서정시 또는 ghazals이라는 문학 장르로 글을 썼는데, 이는 신의 영감에 대한 황홀함을 사랑시의 신비로운 형태로 표현하는 데 이상적인 스타일다).
