하나님의 제단(祭壇) 앞에 촛불을 켜려고 성전에 가지 말고, 먼저 당신 마음에서 죄의 어둠을 없애라.

성전에 가서 머리 숙여 기도하기 보다는, 먼저 동료 앞에서 겸손하게 절하는 법을 배워라.

절에 가서 무릎 꿇고 기도하기 보다는, 먼저 엎드려 아랫 사람들을 받들어 모셔라.

성전에 가서 죄를 용서해 달라고 빌지 말고, 먼저 당신에게 죄지은 사람들을 마음으로 용서하라.
