His innovations transformed the Hollywood musical, and he is credited with almost single-handedly making the ballet form commercially acceptable to film audiences (그의 혁신은 할리우드 뮤지컬을 변화시켰고, 발레 형식을 영화 관객들에게 상업적으로 수용 가능하게 만든 공로를 거의 혼자 힘으로 인정받고 있다).

What did people truly want to say to the world?
I want to convey the true heart of the person published here.
With this mindset, I hope to properly express Gene Kelly's heart.
1. I got started dancing because I knew it was one way to meet girls.
나는 댄스가 여자를 만나는 한 가지 방법이라는 걸 알고 춤을 추기 시작했다.
2. I wanted to do new things with dance, adapt it to the motion picture medium.
나는 춤으로 새로운 것을 시도하고 싶었고, 영화라는 매체에 맞춰 춤을 발전시키고 싶었다.
3. The future of dance will always be tied up with the public's acceptance of the star.
If they accept the star, then they'll accept the dance.

But what also helped me was the fact that I was dancing in roles that I had played.

I wanted to invent some kind of American dance that was danced to the music that I grew up on: Cole Porter( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cole_Porter ) and Rodgers and Hart( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rodgers_and_Hart ) and Irving Berlin( https://cw2588.blogspot.com/2022/10/white-christmas-irving-berlin-quotes.html ).
So I evolved a style that certainly didn't catch on right away - but I had some good mentors in New York who encouraged me.

I think you will see younger dancers, who certainly have the artistic sense and capabilities, start going back to romantic numbers.

18. I miss the romance.
I keep saying this over and over again, but dance follows music.
And if the accent today is percussion and rhythm and loudness, then that is the way the dance numbers will be.
But it is pretty hard on romance with seven guitars, three drums, and no melody instruments in the band.

But I'm through with dancing.
