I want to convey the true heart of the person published here.
With this mindset, I hope to properly express Annette Bening's heart.
1. Acting is not about being famous, it's about exploring the human soul.
연기(演技)는 유명해지는 것이 목적이 아니라, 인간의 영혼을 탐구하는 것이다.
2. I still remember the five points of salesmanship: attention, interest, conviction, desire and close.
나는 아직도 세일즈의 5가지 핵심 요소, 즉 관심, 흥미, 확신, 욕망, 마무리를 기억한다.
3. Some people say talent is energy and that's a very interesting way of thinking about it.
In other words, people with talent have a lot of energy.
어떤 사람들은 재능을 에너지라고 말하는데, 정말 흥미로운 생각 방식이다.
다시 말해, 재능 있는 사람들은 에너지가 넘친다는 의미이다.
4. That's one of the most important things about acting is not just when you're speaking but when you're taking in from someone else.
So I often go to the theater and I'm watching the person who's not talking.
I love that.
연기에서 가장 중요한 것 중 하나는 대사를 말할 때뿐만 아니라, 다른 사람의 감정을 받아들이는 것이다.
그래서 나는 종종 극장에 가서 말하지 않는 사람을 관찰한다.

5. I like that I've been through things, that when something happens, it resonates with something that already happened.
It's not that things like loss are more or less painful.
But they're deeper.
I find that fascinating.

6. As an actor, you want to be open to the unexpected.
So in order to be open to that, you do have to get out of your discursive mind just like in any creative process, this isn't just about acting.
So you have to learn a little bit how to work with your own mind.
배우로서 예상치 못한 상황에 열려 있어야 한다.
그러려면 모든 창작 과정과 마찬가지로, 연기뿐만 아니라 마음속의 생각에서 벗어나야 한다.
그러므로 자신의 마음과 소통하는 법을 배워야 한다.
7. I remember hearing someone say that good acting is more about taking off a mask than putting one on, and in movie acting, certainly that's true.
With the camera so close, you can see right down into your soul, hopefully.
So being able to do that in a way is terrifying, and in another way, truly liberating.
And I like that about it.
누군가 좋은 연기란 가면을 쓰는 것보다는 벗는 것에 더 가깝다고 했던 말이 기억난다.
영화 연기에서는 확실히 그 말이 맞다.
카메라가 너무 가까이 있어서, 어쩌면 내 영혼 속까지 들여다볼 수 있을지도 모른다.
그래서 그렇게 할 수 있다는 건 어떤 면에서는 무섭기도 하고, 또 다른 면에서는 진정으로 해방감을 주기도 한다.
나는 그 점이 좋다.
8. There's a lot of different ways of going about teaching acting and ultimately you have to just kind of create your own.
You have to be the author of your own acting school in a way.
I mean you can take from this and this and you can watch people and you can watch performances on the stage. You can watch movies.
But ultimately you have to figure it out for yourself.
연기를 가르치는 방법은 여러 가지가 있지만, 결국에는 자신만의 방법을 찾아내야 한다.
어떻게 보면 자신만의 연기 학교를 만들어야 하는 것이다.
물론 이것저것 참고하고, 다른 사람들의 연기를 보며, 무대 공연을 볼 수도 있다. 영화를 볼 수도 있고요.
하지만 궁극적으로는 스스로 방법을 찾아내야 한다.
9. Sometimes people don't rehearse at all, but you might have had a chance to rehearse for a few days, or even more than that.
Then in the moment when the camera's running is the only time it matters.
So whatever you've discussed or thought about or discussed with the director, the other actors, hopefully there's a part of the experience that you've left open so that only in that moment the camera catches it.
That's of course the hardest thing to do because everything is planned and you have thought about it in advance.
어떤 사람들은 리허설을 전혀 하지 않지만, 또 어떤 사람들은 며칠, 심지어 그 이상 동안 리허설을 할 기회가 있었을 수도 있다.
하지만 카메라가 돌아가는 바로 그때가 가장 중요한 순간이다.
그러므로 감독이나 다른 배우들과 논의하고 생각했던 모든 것들이 있었다 하더라도, 카메라가 포착하는 바로 그 순간에만 드러나는 것들을 제대로 살려내야 한다.
물론 모든 것이 계획되어 있고 미리 생각해 두었기 때문에 그것이 가장 어려운 부분이다.
10. Of course, you can never watch something like somebody else watches something like you, but nonetheless, you have to try.
So I think on camera you learn a lot about how much the camera does for you, which is what is the great luxury of movie acting.
Or acting whether it's TV or movies or whatever it is, that the camera's really such a gift because there's so much that it sees and does if you're willing to just be open and expose yourself and all of that.
So you also learn what doesn't matter.
물론, 다른 사람이 나를 보는 것처럼 스스로를 볼 수는 없지만, 그래도 노력은 해야 한다.
그래서 카메라 앞에서 연기하면 카메라가 얼마나 많은 역할을 하는지 많이 배우게 되는데, 그게 바로 영화배우의 가장 큰 장점이다.
TV든 영화든 어떤 연기든 카메라는 정말 큰 선물이다.
마음을 열고 자신을 드러낼 의지만 있다면, 카메라가 포착하고 표현해 주는 게 정말 많다.
그러다 보면 무엇이 중요하지 않은지도 배우게 된다.
11. I'm just as intrigued by acting as ever.
It's an ongoing process. There's no arrival.
There's no point at which you say "Oh, OK, done it, got it."
It just doesn't happen. And that's true of any creative endeavor.
For me, it's just a lifelong interest.
I'm very much interested in the craft.
I started by doing plays and it took me a long time to feel comfortable doing movies, working with cameras.
I felt like I was a theater actress pretending that I was a movie actress for quite a while.
Now, I just love the process of working with cameras and being on a set and trying to put a film together.
나는 여전히 연기에 매료되어 있다.
연기는 끊임없는 과정이다. 도착점이 없다.
"아, 이제 됐어, 이해했어."라고 말할 수 있는 시점이 없다.
그런 일은 일어나지 않는다. 모든 창작 활동이 그렇듯 말이다.
나에게 연기는 평생의 관심사이다.
나는 연기라는 예술 자체에 깊은 관심을 가지고 있다.
나는 연극으로 시작했고, 영화, 카메라 앞에서 연기하는 것에 익숙해지기까지 오랜 시간이 걸렸다.
한동안은 마치 연극배우가 영화배우인 척하는 것 같았다.
지금은 카메라 앞에서 연기하고, 촬영장에 있으며, 영화를 만들어가는 과정 자체가 너무 좋다.
