What did people truly want to say to the world?
I want to convey the true heart of the person published here.
With this mindset, I hope to properly express Theodore Roosevelt's heart.

1. With self-discipline, almost anything is possible.

2. Nothing worth having was ever achieved without effort.

3. Keep your eyes on the stars, and your feet on the ground.

4. Courtesy is as much a mark of a gentleman as courage.

5. Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.

6. Order without liberty and liberty without order are equally destructive.

7. Knowing what’s right doesn’t mean much unless you do what’s right.

8. If I must choose between peace and righteousness, I choose righteousness.

9. Far and away the best prize that life offers is the chance to work hard at work worth doing.

10. The most important single ingredient in the formula of success is knowing how to get along with people.

11. Our chief usefulness to humanity rests on our combining power with high purpose.

Power undirected by high purpose spells calamity

12. The boy who is going to make a great man must not make up his mind merely to overcome a thousand obstacles, but to win in spite of a thousand repulses and defeats.

13. Sometimes in life, both at school and afterwards, fortune will go against anyone, but if he just keeps pegging away and don’t lose his courage things always take a turn for the better in the end.

14. We must show, not merely in great crises, but in the everyday affairs of life, the qualities of practical intelligence, of courage, of hardihood, and endurance, and above all the power of devotion to a lofty ideal.

15. The men and women who have the right ideals… are those who have the courage to strive for the happiness which comes only with labor and effort and self-sacrifice, and those whose joy in life springs in part from power of work and sense of duty.

※ Jeanne d'Arc (Joan of Arc, Sancta Ioanna Arcensis, 1412~1431, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joan_of_Arc ) ; patron saint of France, honored as a defender of the French nation for her role in the siege of Orléans and her insistence on the coronation of Charles VII of France during the Hundred Years' War.

Convinced of her devotion and purity, Charles sent Joan, who was about seventeen years old, to Orléans as part of a relief army.

She arrived at the city in April 1429, wielding her banner and bringing hope to the demoralized French army. Nine days after her arrival, the English abandoned the siege.

Joan encouraged the French to aggressively pursue the English during the Loire Campaign, which culminated in another decisive victory at Patay, opening the way for the French army to advance on Reims unopposed, where Charles was crowned as the king of France with Joan at his side.

These victories boosted French morale, paving the way for their final triumph in the Hundred Years' War several decades later.

She was declared guilty and burned at the stake on 30 May 1431, aged about nineteen.

After the French Revolution, she became a national symbol of France.

In 1920, Joan of Arc was canonized by Pope Benedict XV and, two years later, was declared one of the patron saints of France.

I want to convey the true heart of the person published here.

1. All battles are first won or lost, in the mind.

2. Men are sometimes hanged for telling the truth.

3. Hold the cross high so I may see it through the flames.

4. I am the drum on which God is beating out his message.

5. Courage! Do not fall back ; in a little the place will be yours.

6. Go forward bravely. Fear nothing.

Trust in God ; all will be well.

7. Act, and God will act.

Help yourself and God will help you.

8. Get up tomorrow early in the morning, and earlier than you did today, and do the best that you can.

9. It is better to be alone with God.

His friendship will not fail me, nor His counsel, nor His love.

In His strength, I will dare and dare and dare until I die.

10. One life is all we have and we live it as we believe in living it.

But to sacrifice what you are and to live without belief, that is a fate more terrible than dying.
