Don't be afraid of experience, because the more experience you have, the more mature you become.

좋은 경험, 나쁜 경험, 달콤한 경험, 쓰라린 경험, 밝은 곳 겪어보기, 어두운 곳 겪어보기, 여름 나기, 겨울 나기 등 가능한 모든 방법을 동원하여 양 극단을 경험하며 체험적으로 인생을 살아라.

경험이 쌓일수록 더 성숙해지므로 몸소 체험하는 것을 두려워하지 마라.

7. To be creative means to be in love with life.

You can be creative only if you love life enough that you want to enhance its beauty, you want to bring a little more music to it, a little more poetry to it, a little more dance to it.

창의적으로 살아간다는 것은 인생을 사랑한다는 의미이다.

삶을 너무나도 사랑해서 그 아름다움을 더 향상시키고 싶고, 음악에 조금 더 심취하고 싶으며, 시적(詩的)인 분위기에 조금 더 젖어보고 싶고, 춤을 좀 더 추고 싶을 경우에만 자신의 창의력이 충분히 발휘되게 된다.

8. Each person comes into this world with a specific destiny - he has something to fulfill, some message has to be delivered, some work has to be completed.

You are not here accidentally - you are here meaningfully.

There is a purpose behind you.

The whole intends to do something through you.

사람은 특정한 운명을 가지고 이 세상에 온다.

각자 성취할 것, 전달할 메시지, 완성시킬 일들이 모두 따로 있다.

우리는 우연히 여기에 있는 것이 아니라 심오한 의미를 가지고 여기 있다.

각자에게는 어떤 목적이 있다.

전체(우주)는 우리 각자를 통해 무언가를 할려고 한다.

9. Sadness gives depth. Happiness gives height.

Sadness gives roots. Happiness gives branches.

Happiness is like a tree going into the sky, and sadness is like the roots going down into the womb of the earth.

Both are needed, and the higher a tree goes, the deeper it goes, simultaneously.

The bigger the tree, the bigger will be its roots.

In fact, it is always in proportion. That's its balance.

슬픔은 깊이를 주고, 행복은 높이를 준다.

슬픔은 뿌리를 자라게 해주고, 행복은 가지를 자라게 해준다.

슬픔은 뿌리가 땅의 자궁으로 내려가는 것과도 같고, 행복은 나무가 천국으로 들어가는 것과도 같다.

둘 다 필요하며, 나무가 자랄수록 뿌리도 커진다.

나무가 높이 뻗어갈수록 동시에 뿌리도 더 깊이 내려간다.

사실, 삼라만상의 존재 원리가 항상 이러하며, 나무의 균형 역시 마찬가지다.

10. Listen to your being.

It is continuously giving you hints; it is a still, small voice.

It does not shout at you, that is true.

And if you are a little silent you will start feeling your way.

Be the person you are.

Never try to be another, and you will become mature.

Maturity is accepting the responsibility of being oneself, whatsoever the cost.

Risking all to be oneself, that's what maturity is all about.

자신의 존재가 속삭이는 소리를 들어라.

조용하고 작은 목소리로 자신에게 계속 힌트를 주고 있다.

그 존재는 큰소리로 말하지 않는다는 사실을 명심하라.

명상을 통하여 자신의 길에 대하여 감(感)을 잡기 시작할 것이다.

있는 그대로의 자기 자신이 되어라.

절대 다른 사람이 되려고 하지 마라. 그러면 우리는 보다 더 성숙해질 것이다.

성숙해진다는 것은 값비싼 대가(代價)를 치르더라도 자기 자신이 되는 책임을 받아들이는 것이다.

진정한 자기 자신이 되기 위해 어떠한 위험도 감수하는 것, 이것이 바로 성숙해진다는 의미이다.
