※ Sai Baba of Shirdi(Shirdi Sai Baba, 1838?~1918, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sai_Baba_of_Shirdi ) ; 인도의 영적 스승(fakir, saint, Satguru)이었으며, 힌두교 신자와 이슬람교 신자(Hindu and Muslim) 모두에게 존경을 받았다.

그는 종교나 카스트에 근거한 차별을 비난했으며, 그가 이슬람교도인지 힌두교도인지는 여전히 불분명하다.

그의 가르침은 힌두교와 이슬람의 요소들을 결합시켰다.

그는 힌두교와 이슬람의 의식(儀式)을 행했던 사원들을, 이슬람 사원에 힌두교의 이름을 붙이는 방식 등으로 활용했고, 두 전통에서 유래한 단어들과 인물들을 활용하여 가르쳤다.
