What did people truly want to say to the world?
I want to convey the true heart of the person published here.
With this mindset, I hope to properly express Keith Haring's heart.

1. The public has a right to art...

Art is for everybody.

대중은 예술에 대한 권리가 있다.

예술은 모두를 위한 것이다.

2. The reality of art begins with the eyes of the beholder, through imagination, invention and confrontation.

예술의 현실은 상상, 발명, 대결을 통해 보는 사람의 눈에서 시작된다.

3. Art should be something that liberates the soul, provokes the imagination and encourages people to go further.

예술은 영혼을 자유롭게 하고, 상상력을 자극하며, 사람들이 더 나아가도록 격려하는 것이어야 한다.

4. The act of creation is a kind of ritual.

The origins of art and human existence lie hidden in this mystery of creation.

창조 행위는 일종의 의식(儀式)이다.

이 창조의 신비에는 예술과 인간 존재의 기원이 숨겨져 있다.

5. Drawing is still basically the same as it has been since prehistoric times.

It brings together man and the world.

그림 그리기는 기본적으로 선사시대(先史時代) 부터 있었던 것 같다.

6. My contribution to the world is my ability to draw.

I will draw as much as I can for as many people as I can for as long as I can.

7. You don't have to know anything about art to appreciate it or to look at it.

There aren't any hidden secrets or things that you're supposed to understand.

8. I think it's more important to make a lot of different things and keep coming up with new images and things that were never made before, than to do one thing and do it well.

한 가지 일을 잘 해내는 것보다 여러 가지 다른 것들을 많이 만들고 새로운 이미지, 지금까지 만들어 본 적이 없는 것들을 계속 생각해 내는 게 더 중요하다고 생각한다.

9. Good and Evil are very hard to explain or understand.

I'm sure that evil exists, but it is hard to isolate...... .

They are not completely opposites and in fact are often one and the same.

선과 악은 설명하거나 이해하기가 매우 어렵다.

악은 존재한다고 확신하지만, 악을 분리해내기가 어렵다.

선악은 완전히 반대되는 것이 아니며, 실제로 종종 하나이며 동일하다.

10. I am interested in making art to be experienced and explored by as many individuals as possible with as many different individual ideas about the given piece with no final meaning attached.

나는 최종 의미가 부여되지 않은, 주어진 작품에 대해 가능한 한 많은 다른 개인의 아이디어로 가능한 한 많은 사람들이 경험하고 탐구할 수 있는 예술을 만드는 데 관심이 있다.

11. I am intrigued with the shapes people choose as their symbols to create a language.

There is within all forms a basic structure, an indication of the entire object with a minimum of lines that becomes a symbol.

This is common to all languages, all people, all times.

나는 사람들이 언어를 창조하기 위해 상징으로 선택하는 모양에 흥미를 느낀다.

모든 형태 안에는 최소한의 선(線)으로 상징이 되는 전체 대상의 표시인 기본 구조가 있다.
