의지는 또한 선택을 의미한다.

우리는 말로만 사랑하기 보단 사랑하기를 선택하면서 살아가야 한다.

이것이 위대한 진리인 까닭은, 진정으로 이 진리를 깨닫는다면 삶의 고해(苦海)를 뛰어넘을 수 있기 때문이다.

진정으로 삶이 힘들다는 것을 깨치게 되고 그 사실을 이해하고 받아들이게 되면, 삶은 더 이상 힘들지 않게 된다.

일단 받아들이게 되면, 삶이 힘들다는 사실은 더 이상 문제가 되지 않는다.
