※ Oliver Goldsmith(1728~1774, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oliver_Goldsmith ) ; 18세기 아일랜드계 영국의 소설가, 극작가, 시인(an Anglo-Irish novelist, playwright, dramatist and poet)이며, 8세 때 천연두에 걸려 흉한 얼굴이 되었다.

그는 성공회 신도였고 하나님의 존재와 애정을 기쁨으로 인정했으며, 기독교의 계시가 최고의 희망과 가장 고귀한 기대의 원천이라는 확신을 가지고 있었던 것으로 사료(思料)된다.
